Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be a twin?  Today you will meet a set of identical twins named Caleb & Sol, and they will tell you what it is like to be super creative twins working together for one common goal - to spread the love of Jesus Christ.  We were so impressed with their "Afloat" song and video as well as their AMAZING "Barabbas" video that we have asked them to join our efforts in the 7Cubed G4G adventure that is exploding into existence!  You will LOVE their sound - soft, powerful, creative, meaningful, and intuitive.  These gifted guys along with their ultra talented band are making an impact that will last well into eternity on so many levels.   "Afloat" will transport you to a place of thankfulness to the One who keeps you afloat.  The orchestral sound rings a melody that you can ride into your prayers - floating on God's grace as you give thanks for all things.  Their eclectic mixture of sounds and projects makes these guys a force for God that is inspiring to say the least.

Meet... Caleb and Sol... (former athlete) twin musicians  - ministers of faith and hope - lovers of God.

May your Christmas be blessed and your 2010 be filled with miracles!

PS - Don't miss the EXPERIENCE of the "Barabbas" video - a completely new perspective on the sparing of Barabbas' life.  It will make you think like you have never thought before.

The Caleb & Sol vision as told by Caleb Rexius:

7Cubed: Seeing as how you obviously love athletics, how have you been able to use that talent as a catalyst for God's message?

Caleb & Sol: I think there are general themes that crossover from athletics. One being the pursuit of excellence. When we were athletes, we set out to work hard and be the best that we could be. Similar with music and writing, we both want to excel and hone in our craft so we have something excellent to offer our fans and listeners. We have also taken our work ethic learned from sports, and applied that to our musical talents. The whole process - writing songs, recording, waiting, waiting, performing, more waiting - can be very challenging, but being disciplined and patient throughout the process is essential.

7Cubed: Does splitting the lyric writing for your songs make it easier to work, or rather, is it a rewarding challenge as you connect your thoughts?

Caleb & Sol: Overall it makes the songwriting process easier. When writing a song, every songwriter deals with the same issues - "is this song catchy?", "does this sound good?", "am I making sense here?", and on and on with questions. With each other, we can critique songs throughout the process to make for a more pleasant experience. But no matter how you cut it, songwriting is just hard, it can be a very humbling and rewarding experience.

7Cubed: What specific styles of music provide the most inspiration for your songs?

Caleb & Sol: Our #1 influence growing up was DC Talk, and many people can guess that right after listening to a few of our songs. Other influences are a bit more discrete, but substantial nonetheless. A Cappella music has had a huge impact on our song compilations. Also, to most people's surprise, we actually grew up listening to a lot of 90's pop and R&B (and this is still a guilty pleasure for us both :)...but seriously, I think our vocal development was largely due to trying to sing along with Boyz 2 Men, Michael Jackson, and yes, even some of those great 90's boy band hits.

7Cubed: In what ways, can you share with others, do you each keep your relationship with Christ at the helm of this journey you're on?

Caleb & Sol: We always want to give glory to God. In fact, our song "Dedication" was written about this. You can give the song a listen to get the whole feel but these 2 lines sum it up pretty well "never let them think that it's all about me, Lord, that is not my mission...i want them to know you..." Being a christian entertainer presents some strange dynamics like deciding what type of merchandise to sell, what we will autograph, what type of shows should we do, and many more questions. We try to cover our decisions in prayer and continually ask God for wisdom.

7Cubed: In what ways have you seen your music have positive effects on the lives of others?

Caleb & Sol: I have been so encouraged by the daily emails and messages I receive of how God has used our music to impact people. We just feel honored that God chose to use us in this way. God gave us 14 songs for this album, sometimes it is hard to take credit for them, we truly feel like he gave them to us, and we are just his literal instruments to communicate the gospel message through song.

7Cubed:  What is laying our your hearts that you want people of the world to know?

Caleb & Sol: We want people to know the gospel. We just want to present it in a different way. It astounds me how music can just speak to some people in ways that other mediums fail to. At most concerts, we try to present the gospel through preaching and through song. Sol is a student at western seminary and is getting training to be a pastor, so he usually heads up the preaching duties, and does a great job. "Barabbas", the 14th track on our album, was written by Sol and presents the story of Barabbas in a very unique way. We thought it was a great way to end our album and recap the message laced within.

7Cubed: And for fun.... how has being twins impacted your musical journey?

Caleb & Sol: It is fun to play on the whole twin thing sometimes, but in reality, because I (Caleb) have my hair long right now, some people don't even recognize that we are identical twins! Very fun nonetheless, we are best friends and I think our close relationship shows throughout our conduct and in performance....I think people appreciate that brotherly love that they see.

7Cubed:  We appreciate it very much and we appreciate your talent being used for God's glory!  Thank you so very much, Caleb,  for the wonderful interview and speaking from your heart.  We look forward to working with you all in the future to reach many for God!
