Hymns of Eden
7Cubed: What is the single most important thing you want people to get out of your music?
HofE: "We want people to see that Christians can have fun and enjoy life without lowering their standards or compromising their integrity. The mission of Hymns of Eden is to bring the word of Christ to a generation that is hungry for His word. As a Christian rock band, Hymns of Eden desires to reach people that might not relate to praise and
worship music and show them that they can worship God through any kind of music. We want people to truly listen to the lyrics of our songs and find a song that they can
relate to personally."
7Cubed: Tell us about the big things that are in the future for you guys (record contracts, tours, family life, etc.)?
HofE: "We are actually developing a tour with Nine Lashes. This tour is going to kick off at the end on September, and will go from Alabama to as far as Dallas. Just check
7Cubed: When do you all expect your debut cd to be out?
HofE: "We have been working hard to get this EP out and we hope to have it done by the end of August and out by the first of September. We will be announcing a date soon!"
7Cubed: What music are you listening to right now?
HofE: "Let's see Nine Lashes, Red, Decyfer Down, Skillet, Building 429, and Guardian."
7Cubed:: How did you meet and when did you decide to record music?
HofE - Mark Davis:
"Everyone in this band has been involved with music for many years, church, other bands, etc... Each of us knew that God had a calling on our lives, but with today's
turmoil it seems evermore difficult to pursue musical careers. Tim, Chris, and myself originated the concept of Hymns of Eden, each having been in another band
together. The bonds and friendships developed previously kept us together long after the band had fallen. Antwann comes from a similar experience with Addison. Though
our paths seldom crossed before, God put us all on a collision course that came together officially in November of 2008 when Antwann contacted us to ask a few
questions. Addison soon followed to complete the ensemble and today we are blessed to be called Hymns of Eden."
7Cubed: Have any funny stories you can share about being on the road/in the studio?
HofE - Mark Davis: "The first thing that comes to mind is Antwann's "wonderful awesome" idea to turn off all the lights at one of our shows. 'It'll be cool and the projector
screens will light up the stage!' When I grabbed my guitar to start that familiar intro, I couldn't even see which fret I was on. That night everyone "came up with new music" just trying to play our own songs. We all know now to screen Antwann's "wonderful awesome" ideas from now on!"
7Cubed: That story would make a fun video - maybe for a song titled "Wonderful Awesome"! Thanks for the great interview guys and may God bless your journeys for Him.

Hymns of Eden has asked us to be the first to review their new song "Never Again".
We of course said we were happy to take a listen!
This song's wonderful melodic changes send the signal that this song should run high on everyone's favorite list. It's certainly on ours! The bass guitar plays an unexpectedly,
pleasant role in this song - refreshing, considering in most songs the bass is left to the back. The lyrics are strong and reaching - making us think - which we love. The story line is indicative of what most people have experienced in their lives in one form or another. The person is teased and unloved early in life but he never releases his anger at the teasers or retaliates. He forgives them. This line speaks volumes..."It seems forgiveness begins when the rock is dropped from the hand."
We love the driving guitars and the stretching, powerful vocals, but most impressive is the forethought that went into the lyrics. They remind us how to live. With forgiveness.
We also love their current song release - "All I Need". Find out how to buy their CD and songs on their site.

BRAND NEW & MAKING A DIFFERENCE
TROMA - Christian Pop
Troma brings great words and a wonderful message together with an electronic sound. Having signed on with Gotee Records, she brings a fresh new sound to the Christian music industry. Her song "Falling Down" shows that only God can help us when we fall down, and He sees who we really are inside. She used to model and realized that world is full of exploitation and confuses TRUE beauty. You can listen on Troma's MySpace page.

The Heart of 7Cubed
How do you - yes you - please God?
Can you answer that? Is it hard to answer?
Once you give you heart to God, truly asking Him to guide and forgive, you are saved. God does not take that away. But how do you get closer to God and make Him happy? How do you keep all the junk in your life - the continued sin that feels like a trap, the burdens of life, the fun things you want to do, everything really - from becoming your main focus? Instead, He should be your main focus.
Identify your sin and what gets in between you and God. Your sin continues to crucify Jesus. We can't let that happen in our lives and feel good about it - if we really
think about it. How hard does it break your heart if someone you love deeply ignores you for something or someone else? God's heart breaks just as easily when we do that
to Him.
Sit down and talk with Him. REALLY talk with HIM - not a stale repeated prayer. Get to the HEART of the matter and ask Him to help you identify the sin and all that
takes your focus off His love for you. He will tell you.
This will free you to tell Him you are sorry. Ask Him to show you the way. Do you feel His forgiveness? We need it everyday and He knows that. We are human after all.
We can't be perfect. He loves you and will be happy if you just talk with Him.

Have you found peace? Have you sat down & talked with Jesus. Have you said, "Yes, I want the gift you have given - salvation to me - so that I can live forever with you." You will know TRUE PEACE if you do. Cry out to Him and He will listen.
Please let us know if you do that because we know that He wants us to pray for you. This can be done by email - no problem - because we don't want you to feel alone. We are here for you.
